What They’ll Learn

Reading and Writing

Students will work directly with Miss Lily on letters, phonics, decoding, pronunciation, comprehension, and confidence in their reading and language applications. Readers are leaders, and we pride ourselves in helping young learners reach their best literary selves.

Mathematics and Numeracy

Our numeracy curriculum transforms abstract numbers into tangible tools. Students will master counting to 100, quantity, shapes, 2D and 3D shapes, and introductory arithmetic. By striking while the neuroplasticity iron is hot, we can ensure every student feels the invitation to be “a math person.”

Social and Emotional Learning

We want to prepare our little learners to be joyful and successful students, friends, and citizens in the big wide world, and much of that happens when we socialize in the classroom. Students work on self-regulation, collaboration with others, and empathetic communication. Mixing play, adult modeling, and peer practice helps build comfort and confidence inside and outside our rooms!

Science and Social Studies

From the microscopic to the monumental, we seek to foster a deep-seated curiosity about how our world works. Students will work together to observe, predict, and experiment with the physical world, while our history lessons will introduce chronological thinking and global citizenship. By connecting the stories of the past with the wonders of the present, we help students find their own place in the world.

Meet Your Instructor

Lily Grace Lewis

Director of Primary Instruction

Miss Lily is a career educator with a passion for challenging and exciting the minds of young learners. She is known for her exuberant personality, warmth, drive for excellence, and her encouraging teaching style. Lily believes that growth happens when learners have “high warmth, and firm boundaries,” showing that sweetness and wonder are never sacrificed in the pursuit of curiosity and academic achievement.

She has worked in pre-K and Kindergarten classrooms for many years, in addition to teaching and curriculum development with several of our partner tutorials, like Curve Homeschool Enrichment and Village Co-Op. She also specifically works with many one-on-one homeschool kindergarten and pre-k students with unique learning obstacles, using her love for them and their potential to find what inspires them, and driving them to not just meet expectations, but surprise themselves and unlock a brighter future.
